Currently the Spen Valley Scout & Guide Band are a Grade A Band, this is the highest ranking a Scout & Guide Band can attain.

This level has meant that we have being able to play at some very prestigious events including playing for the Chief Scout Peter Duncan on Several Occasions. We have also played at some other events such as the Birmingham International Tattoo, Euro jam and part of the Percussion Section at Windsor Castle for the National Queens Scout St Georges Day Parade. As well as the Percussion Section playing at Windsor Castle the main Band also played in 2007 when the Parade was reviewed by H. M. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. The Queen and Prince Phillip took time to speak to various members of the band. We also have played for the Lord Mayor of Bradford on several occasions, on one such event the Lord Mayor was so impressed with the band, she held a Civic Reception for the Band.

The band plays at all types of Parades, Galas, Fetes, Carnivals & Concerts. If you want the band to perform at your event please contact the Bandmaster
